Purchased these twice now to use as knife scales. After the first set, I learned that they will break easy, if not careful. This stuff breaks and does not split like wood does. I Have kept the broken scales to work with at a later time. Learning about the material, I thought this stuff was extremely tough, which it is once finished, glued and pined in place. Be-careful when drilling your pins and setting them in place. One more tip, this stuff works great with with laser etching and scrimshaw, once polished. Will buy again.
