Customer Service first:The first one I received had a sanding mark on the blade surface, not deep, but it polished off the damascus pattern. The front lower portion on the handles had a very small chip in the wood as well. There was a note in the box that said to contact them if there were any issues, so I sent an email with pictures. Next morning I had a reply, they had shipped a replacement knife!Review:Knife came in a plain cardboard box wrapped in bubble wrap with a leather sheath. Now, I have a few nice production knifes that the fit and finish is machine quality. This knife is not like that. You can tell it's made by hand. The edges are absolutely flush and the grips are %100 identical, you have to look pretty close or use your fingers to feel the edges. That being said, it has a character to it that I love. I like holding it, I like looking at it. Best way to describe it (nerdy as it may be) is that it seems like something from Lord of the Rings, but not an Elf blade that's flawlessly built by some who has 100 years to spend on it, more common. I haven't done any serious cutting with it so I can't speak to durability. For me it's well worth the relatively low price. The damascus goes through the whole blade. Blade is also thick, just under 1/4 inch and sharp. Almost like a prop for a movie in appearance, but it's not.
