This knife was beautifully machined except one a little issue . The blade is thick and stone washed. The G10 handle is scalloped and textured to offer positive non slip grip. The liner lock is 100% engaged on the blade. The look of the knife is just awesome. Artisan also included a safety screw in pin to lock the blade in either closed or open position (fixed blade). When the blade is closed the pin goes in easily but when the blade is open the hole on the blade misaligns with the liners and scales ever so slightly to prevent the pin from going in. That happened to the all black model that I also bought and returned because of this issue. I liked this knife design so much that I repurchased the blue version and hoping this version will be aligned but no luck. Instead of returning it again I used a 320 grit sandpaper and sanded down the entire diameter of the safety screw pin just a bit and now the pin can be screwed in with just a bit of resistance. After doing all these work I found that the detent is very strong and will keep the blade close no matter how hard I tried to shake the blade out so no accidental opening in your pocket. The liner lock positively 100% engages onto the back stop of the blade when opened so there no way the blade will accidentally close onto your fingers. The safety pin is just to add an extra level of confidence if you are using the knife outside of its intended purpose (pocket folding knife) such as to baton fire wood, pry open a door, stab a car door. Overall it is a great knife to have fun with and I may even use it as an EDC.
