Leather is of good quality cowhide, but pre-molded outline is too generic. The longer trigger guards of the Taurus TCP (and Ruger LCP) don't "fit" exactly right (they sit too high in the pre-molded pocket). It does fit/work right out of the package, but I prefer a "deeper" fit.I've oiled the leather, inside and out, with quality leather oil to soften it up a bit... Inserted my TCP (deep into the new pocket), and left to "dry" overnight. Now, the holster holds the weapon semi-correctly and TIGHT, but at least it is better than it was before.Like I said, the leather is of good quality, and stitching is with HEAVY thread. Opposite-side "hook" cut into leather works very well for keeping the holster in your pocket when you draw the weapon, and overall size and configuration of holster keeps the weapon "upright" in your pants pocket (or horizontal in a jacket's slash-pocket).I've tried this holster in my front pocket, back pocket, and jacket pockets... all with equal comfort and success (although there is a weapon "outline" if you carry in your back pocket). And, since oiling and re-molding the leather to fit "my" weapon, drawing and holstering the weapon is fairly smooth and un-hindered.For the price, and a little effort in customizing, you can't beat this little holster... it rivals ones costing $40-50, so save your money for ammo and buy this one!
