This is my first acquisition from Boker and I must say...WOW! I have MANY knives in my collection but this one almost instantly went to the podium in terms of first impressions. The stone washed mirror finish is absolutely exquisite as is the carved/ribbed wooden handle. Everything is very snug, tight, and flawlessly finished. The blade has a very acceptable level of sharpness for a knife of this size. If you want it surgeon-razor sharp you may want to tune it up yourself although honestly the factory edge is more than adequate for its intended purpose. I'm honestly not super familiar with the steel that it is made with, however, I have heard some several sources that it is a high-end steel that provides great service. The sheath adds a very special level of characterization to an already impressive piece. The leather is well stitched, defined, and finished to a smooth, glossy aura. My only advice is push a number 2 pencil through the pin hole to stretch it out a little bit. Out of the box its very difficult to undo the the leather band from the pin. An hour or so of pencil therapy will make it much easier whilst still being quite secure. If you are willing to drop the coin on the price-tag this is an excellent addition to any collection. Whether you want to show it off in a case or on your belt, this beast will not disappoint!
