The Bellemain Premium Steak Knife Set is a beautiful high-tech modern looking set of steak knives. They are a bit larger than I had expected, as the product photos give the knives an almost deceptively slimmer appearance. This isn't a bad thing. The larger size makes this cutlery feel like a knife that can hold up. The points are adequately sharp and the blade edge seems like it will last for some time. The weight of each piece feels adequately balanced, likely owing to their full tang manufacture.That full tang gives these knives a solidness without feeling too heavy and they feel great in the hand. My partner, who didn't seem initially sold on them before they arrived, instantly took a liking to them. Our first use of them was with a ribeye steak, which these cut through like the proverbial hot knife through butter. The second time we utilized them was on a decently thick New York strip steak. The Bellemain knives cut smoothly and effortlessly, with no dragging or food residue. Even tougher cuts of meat were no match.I'm pleased to say that these knives were a good investment. I fully intend to get another set of four to round out the collection at some point. I only wish they had other similarly styled cutlery to match, as the closest visual match I've been able to find has the three hash marks on the handle going the opposite direction. I suppose, in a way, That just means they'll stand out even among similarly looking cutlery.Again, that isn't a bad thing.
