My wife has long been making her own breads. We've gone through so many bread knives, but none were all that great. Reading an issue of Consumer Reports they listed this as a great choice so we figured why not. Well, whether its her crusty bread or very soft bread it cuts through it with no effort, minimal crumbs and can cut them almost potato chip thin. We are really shocked at how great this knife is. It has a full tang, very sturdy with a nice weight to it. If we ever need another one we'll get the same one again.This bread knife is inexpensive and amazing. Not only does it slice bread, as advertised, and without smashing down fresh bread right from the oven. I also use it for many other things. This morning I was using it to slice some VERY ripe Beefsteak tomatoes from my garden and they sliced as if they were the tough GMO tomatoes from the supermarket.Well made, good grip, full tang, very satisfied, recommended.Cuts nicely through dense and crusty bread. Well made, comfortable to hold. Good value. Packaging could be minimized, a knife guard would be nice. Pleased with purchase.This knife is an absolute pleasure to use.
