The Damascus steel blade looks fairly nice and cuts pretty well out of the box. Unfortunately the knife is let down by a cheaply made folded one piece handle that is a little too loose. This makes it borderline dangerous both to carry and to use as there is no lock and almost no friction to help keep the blade in the position you desire.The kicker for me is that beautiful “copper handle”, which was one of the main reasons I chose this knife, is actually a thin copper electro plating over a polished stainless material and started chipping off on the first few days I carried it in my pocket.My husband loves it. A great gift if you try to stick with wedding anniversary theme gifts. The Damascus blade is very pretty too.
