I ordered the extra kydex sheath because I didn't want the leather. It happened to come with a kydex sheath not leather. No way would the extra sheath had fit the boker but it fits my Razel. My initial thought appears to be a sharp and substantial knife which may prove to be a good EDC (everyday carry) knife. However, my one major reservation thus far is the Kydex Sheath which came with the knife. Though it seems to be a sturdy sheath, I find it to be very difficult to easily withdraw the knife. To say the least I was rather disappointed that the knife did not come with "The supplied high-quality leather sheath . . . any gear belt" which was advertised in the product description.UPDATE 1 - After several attempts I’m now firm in my feelings about the Kyle Sheath - the fit is so very tight to the knife that it takes just way too much effort to withdraw the knife. I understand you wouldn’t want the knife to easily fall out of its sheath and cause an injury but it’s just as bad to not be able to withdraw the knife when needed or injure yourself or another in an effort to withdraw the blade when needed. In my opinion, this last point is critical for the target user community of 1st responders. I’m considering opinions for safe carry, such as trying heat to modify the knife fit or make a leather sheath. One additional point, the design of the glass breaker at the end of the handle, while super easy to access for emergency use, it is also very easy to injure the user when the knife in is in use (which would probably be the majority of the time the tool is in use). An easily removable butt cover to protect the user might be an easy solution. But one of these and it quickly turns into a “you against the world scenario”. Receiving this was equivalent to what I would’ve expected King Arthur to feel pulling that sword out of the stone or Luke Skywalker wielding his first lightsaber. Pure perfection, came sharp as a razor and bigger in size than expected (that’s what she said!) The sheath gets a bad wrap and while it does need improvements, I carry it daily inside crawl spaces and attics and have dragged it through mud dirt and ice and have no issues. Just break down and get one, you won’t regret it and if the sheath is that bad, learn to do your own kydex! Get one now!The tool itself seems good. It’s solid, has a good weight and size. I have read many reviews complaining that the vendor has substituted a kydex sheath for the leather sheath that is advertised. Instead I got no sheath at all. None. That severely curtails my ability to use this thing since I can’t carry it and it is essentially a fixed blade knife with a very short cutting edge.So that is extremely disappointing for an item I paid more than $70 for.Edit: I reached out to Kaviso Outdoors, who were the actual vendors for my purchase, and they issued me a partial refund so I could get an aftermarket sheath. The item arrived to me sealed from the factory with no sheath inside, so it’s Boker’s fault this happened. Kaviso was actually helpful and I appreciate their help trying to fix it.Still, be aware that Boker, the manufacturer, is clearly cutting corners and not doing their job when it comes to meeting the most basic of expectations regarding a simple sale.Just the same as everyone else... I think make Boker makes solid products for a good price. This is no exception. Its a solid chuck of steel thats well designed to get you or someone else out of a tight spot. It does that by being able to pry and cuts its way in order to aid you getting into the a place in order to get someone out. It feels good in your hand in terms or egos and handle materials. Its grippy whether you're gloved or your hands are greasy or oily. It fits well in a glove box or on a belt. And it would be great on a pack... if only they included a real sheath with it. Its highway robbery that they include the crappy sheath they do, (its pleather or leather and has limited life and just an ok clip) and charge $23.00 for the real sheath it should have come with (and extra for the tech lock.) They really should have bundled all this together. They get a star off for making the total cost to implement this system a whopping $80.00. The tool itself though seems stellar and my buddy was really happy with it.Small enough for edc, but durable enough for anything you can think of. I personally purchased it as an alternative to carrying a knife and separate pry tool with me to work, and it hasn't disappointed. I wouldn't use it as a replacement for a heavier crowbar or something of that ilk, but it's definitely well made and meant to take a beating. It is a tad pricey, but in years of searching, I've yet to find anything half as useful. Was hoping I could use the leather sheath and keep this in a cargo pocket. But no leather sheath, only kydex with belt mount. Not a deal breaker just poor descriptionI bought this tool (and it is a tool, not a knife) thinking it would be good for my bug out bag. It is not the best quality steel and the grip panels have poor texture. The knife will easily slip through your hands when using it. The serrated section of the knife works well given it's small size. A window breaker is included at the end of the handle which makes it a useful tool to keep in your vehicle. Hammering or hitting the end of the handle with another object is difficult due to the window breaker. I had to sharpen the all three edges of the tool upon arrival including the seat belt cutter. This tool is perfect for POLICE and not necessarily a good survival tool. The squared tip is made to peel back registration and VIN stickers on vehicles to ensure their authenticity. It is not useful for much else, and is poor at tasking requiring prying. The included sheath is also poor quality and the stainless belt clip bends easily. Boker sells an "improved" plastic sheath which is worse than the included sheath.I would not recommend this tool to anyone except a police officer. A better option is the Tops pry knife though it is considerably more money.I ordered this thinking it might be a gift for a friend who is going through academy training. He has informed me he is not a fixed blade guy, so a gift for me. I thought the concept is a good idea. The reviews I saw on Amazon as well as other areas all said the tool is awesome and I have to agree. Solid feel, and edges are sharp. Just the right size for my large hands. Great for EDC or you can have it in your car for emergencies. Some reviews dropped marks for the sheath. I love it. It is very well made and the clip is very secure. Not sure if Boker made some design modifications. My sheath has a rivet holding the spring steel clip in place and it is easy add or remove to your belt. I have even worn is clipped into my pocket and that works fine as well. Leather is high quality and holds tool very secure. Had to break it in a little at first, but now it is molded to the shape of the tool.Knife is 1/4” thick X 1” wide and 6 1/2 “ overall with a 1 3/4 blade. Very sturdy and well made. Leather case with spring clip included. Have had to use a protector to keep it soft. I would suggest a Kydex sheath with a horizontal mount, but that is just my preference. Overall a great tool.Did not arrive as described in item description. As of right now I’ve not had a resolution to the issue. If you want it to arrive with the leather case your SOL because without any notice they have decided to send the kydex sheath instead. Supposedly even the manufacturer Boker has no proper leather sheaths available either not even for warranty replacements.. wtf ?!Before ordering please note that the included sheath is absolute rubbish. Not only is it poor quality but it looks terrible. This is significant as you'll want some form of protection when carrying the tool. That aside I am very happy with it.Me encanto para el equipo de trabajoGOOD BUT HAD A FEW LINES IN IT FROM BEING IN AND OUT OF SHEATH. DID NOT REALIZE IT HAD GLASS BREAKER WHICH IS UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN IN POCKET.
