Description

Comfortable polypropylene handle is textured and contoured for positive grip. Over 23% lighter than a conventional aluminum-back tool, this professional grade knife has excellent flexibility for drywall joint taping, finishing and taping. Can even be used as a smoothing or wallcovering trim tool. Flat aluminum back 14" blue steel blade is tapered for running corners faster.

Probably ok but it has an offset that renders it a one sided knife in my mind. I was trying to rebuild a set of tools I once used professionally as a painter. This is not what you would normally seen in the hands of a full time drywaller. It strongly resembles a tool that I really liked for my repair and texture or wallpaper removal repair. It is almost that tool but the offset makes it feel weird in my hand and like I said, a one sided tool.If the handle were straight then it would be perfect. It is a short blade compared to professional tools like a Wallboard or Goldblatt professional version that drywall tapers use.The short springy blade is something that feels natural in my hand and if it were the right handle I would love it because it is the blade I was looking for. Strangely, I got fantastic service from my old tool that looks just like this picture and it was considered more of a home owners replica tool. 14" is just right for the type of repairs I did BUT THIS TOOL HAS AN OFFSET HANDLE THAT MAKES IT A ONE SIDED TOOL SO YOU CAN'T EASILY SHARPEN IT the way pros taught me to get my drywall knifes prepped for use. It is a very strange tool but maybe someone who has never used the type that I thought I was buying would think it is just fine. Can't find the short blade 14's in Home Depot or Lowe's and apparently not really on amazon.com
