this has a wooden handle and I dont like putting wooden utensil in the dishwasher and as I was washing it the blade came out of the handle. only used it a handful of times - disapointing it broke so soon.A lot stronger than I thought..Bought for my partner who loves my butter knife so bought him this...OMG I love this palette knife, I have recently started baking, so my next step was to learn to decorate cakes. I decided to bake a small birthday cake for my brother, I am glad I had this knife which helped amazingly spread the fresh cream around the cake. its not very large so it is only suitable so small to medium sized cakes, and doesn't occupy lots of space in my drawer.Okay, so what can you say about a palette knife? This one was inexpensive and good quality even though it's a little shorter than we thought it would be. However, for chocolate making, it's just what we needed. The delivery was quick and all thongs considered, we would recommend this to anyone who wants a palette knife for not much money.Bought this for baking so easy to get off flapjack and other things from baking tray or to use to flatten surface when baking. Great too for icing as can spread around the cake and it is very flexible but sturdy too. Would recommend. Took a little longer to come than I expected was a good week. But packaged well.
