Description

The Case Yellow CV Peanut is a work-ready knife, built for use all day long. Peanut knives get their name due to their small petite size, fitting discretely and conveniently in a pocket. This durable folding knife features a yellow synthetic handle with two full length blades, the clip blade and the pen blade. The bright yellow handle color will keep this Case Peanut easily within your sight. The Clip blade is commonly used as a multi-purpose blade and preferred for detail work. The Pen blade is great for light work. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy. This pocket knife is suitable for everyday demands, the outdoors, or hiking. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Made in Bradford, PA, USA from domestic and imported materials.

Very simple if jesus carried a pocket knife it'd be a case double xAs expected it a Case knife. Doesn’t get much better. The classic Case peanut pattern in yellow with CV steel. Even though it's small, it will perform probably 95% of your day to day cutting needs. CV blades are really easy to sharpen. Be aware that CV steel will rust if you don't clean it and oil it regularly, especially after using. For more carefree blade care, get the surgical steel blades. They are stainless steel and require much less care, but I find them to be harder to sharpen.Excellent little EDC pocket knife. Never leave home without one. Let’s say you needed to cut something and didn’t have a pocket knife. What are you gonna do then, huh? Best to just be prepared. This is a great little knife. Not too small, not too big. It’s just right!! You should own one. Get one today! This Case Peanut is a beautiful classic knife. When you hold it you really understand what design is - beauty, function and form. The machining is excellent, everything lines up, the materials are good, and the blades sharp. At 2 3/4" closed, the Peanut is similar to a classic small slip-blade pen knife, only the 2 blades (longer clip and smaller pen) are side-by-side rather than one on each end. This makes it a little bit thicker, but it's still very much a light, comfortable to carry loose in the pocket every day, knife. Both blades have 90 degree half-stops.The Peanut is sold with either "Chrome Vanadium" (carbon) or "Tru-Sharp surgical" (stainless) steel blades. The CV steel should take and hold a sharper edge (mine was very sharp out of the box and is holding it well), but will loose their luster and develop a light patina over time. Mine's doing pretty well - you only get minor graying around the tip and thumb-nail mark unless you use it to cut fruit. Cutting an apple caused some near immediate discoloration. However the luster came back with a bit of metal polish. Several months later, I bought my brother-in-law the SS version. It has a really nice blade with a great edge - sharpest SS pocket knife blade I've seen out of the box. Given the quality of Case's stainless, I'd lean towards it.The Peanut is sold in a number of handle materials / colors including synthetic, bone, stag, corelon, and mother of pearl. The handle material you choose affects the price greatly. Yellow Synthetic is a popular lower cost option that provides good looks, durability and value. It is solid and quite hard (like Corian, not plastic) and very resistant to dings. The color is a soft lemon cream that looks really nice against the polished silver / nickel bolsters (to me at least). The brass side rivets are flush and all seams are smooth to the touch. I really like it and would choose it again. Not much to add. It's a well made, well written up, elegantly designed classic little knife. There's a reason Case has such a following. This is about my 20th pocket knife but my first Case. It is something special and doesn't have a crazy price tag. It's become one of my couple favorites.I ordered this Case knife through Amazon and both the quality of Case and the fast service of Amazon were 5 star. The peanut is a perfect knife for everyday use. (unless you need to dress out game or other chores better designed for fixed handle knives.) The CV steel stays extremely sharp and the quality is flaw free. The CV will develop a patina which only adds to the "charm" of the knife, it does not hurt the quality or usefulness of the knife. While stainless steel stays shiny, the CV stays sharper. The handle is comfortable to hold in the hand. The size makes it easy to carry and yet the blades are of a very useful size. I highly recommend Case, the peanut size knife, and the service from Amazon. For years I carried a tiny Swiss Army knife on my keychain and used it all the time for small duties like opening packages, trimming rope, cords, string, etc. But it finally got to the point that it needed replacement. Since I almost never used anything but the main blade, I thought something slightly larger might prove even more useful. This Case Peanut fits nicely in the change or watch pocket of jeans, where's it's handy for those same jobs and the larger blade gives it added utility. This is a finely crafted little instrument. The fit and finish are flawless. The blades are razor sharp and lock firmly into position. I really like the traditional look with the pale yellow handles. Everything about this knife says quality. These are great knives and I love the yellow handles. Just like my grandfather used to carry. This one is a bit small but for dress pants it’s perfect.es una navaja pequeña de bolsillo, y cuesta lo mismo que la grande, pero es muy practica y de calidad.
