Description

In 1884, Victorinox was born in a small village called Ibach, Switzerland. Carl Elzner. In 1891, he created the first Swiss Army Soldier Knife made in Switzerland and then invented the "Officer Knife", which is the original form of Victorinox. From its inception to today over a century, Victorinox has been working on a variety of scenes from the North Pole, Everest, and the end of the universe. This is a type with a loupe and Phillips screwdriver added to the traveler.

This is the perfect utility knife for me. I use all the tools frequently. I'm never without it.????One of my favoriteIt’s works great ? what more do I need to say ✌️Bought this knife 6 months ago,and within short amount of time the main blade has developed a hook on the point-that’s obviously an indication of the cheap materials that were used to assemble this rubbish..I personally would of preferred to write to the manufacturer about this complaint, but there was no address to do this,so therefore people must be advised of what they are about to buy..I’ve also had another PROPER Swiss Army knife for more than 10 years without any problems..in less than 6 months for the main blade to turn into a hook-is a complete joke..don’t waste your money, find something better..or perhaps I just got sold a dud??Owned a Victorinox Explorer prior to moving to the UK. Absolutely great model of knife, had all the tools I need for my everyday needs to the point I had it on me practically 24/7. Couldn't bring my knife here due to customs headaches, so I ordered a new one. Incredibly disappointed with the quality of the one I received. Box was already open when it arrived, every hinge except the main knife is either too stiff, or too loose. Either I have to force them open, or worry they'll fold. The plastic sides jut out from the metal frame which makes for uncomfortable edges, and the metal frame edges are sharp to the point of discomfort. Toothpick and tweezers fit poorly into knife, and produce visible edge on the outside. Extremely disappointed. Amazing knife ruined by Amazon/Victorinox's inability to do quality control.having a tonne of swiss army knives (some people like watches I like these!) I bought one on a whim when it was £22 delivered and couldn't resist! this is somewhere close to a swisschamp without the metal file, saw, pliers and that ridiculous fish scaler they insist on putting on the more expensive models, this one is bang on for most uk EDC applications and the scissors are a real knockout in terms of sharpness and accuracy when cutting even fine materials (leatherman take note!). I also really like the phillips driver that comes out 180 degrees to the tool unlike some of the cheaper ones which stop at 90 degrees (personal preference). if you get a good deal on one then buy buy buy! failing that the swiss champ is the most empowering piece of engineering you can shove onto your belt besides the excellent swiss tool (love mine by the way even if it is heavy and not uk legal due to its locking blades :(Had my original one of these for years, great steel that holds a very good edge for a long time, very handy to have, smaller and more convenient than my leatherman.HOWEVER- one criticism- victorinox have changed the magnifying glass , the old “ mount” was more of a flexible plastic and was sturdy, this version has a clear brittle plastic mounting and on one version I had the lens fell out and was lost, I’m assuming a cost cutting exercise and a mistake, old version was better - otherwise a useful toolI just love this knife, the Explorer, it does what I want it for & more, with only one tool missing the 'Saw' but for a four layer knife it fits nicely in your pocket and doesnt weigh too much. It's a wonderful, useful knife. I use it all the time - from opening my beer bottles to opening letters to magnifying small print with great screwdrivers and the scissors are so sharp & accurate. A must get tool. Brilliant.
