Impressive knife that could be used as a conversation piece, a bar room ball fight ender, or at your side for dealing with a friendly bear.Needed something for the collection (very modest) and in our woods notching trees, creating fire lanes or whatever. The sheath is well made but a little dry. Know the sheath police may stop by but used regular oil on the leather to soften it before there was an issue. Made the sheath a little darker but no rust issues on the knife and made break in better.knife is definitely damascus and a little soft for may tastes, maybe 57 or 58 hardness but i do not have a machine to tell exactly what the hardness is. Really exciting to swing around and cut stuff, quickly annialating ficticios zombies. The brass spacers are little oversized and used sand paper to bring the down a little , not dangerous just annoying. Handle seems a little oversized for my hand, usually get XL gloves but controllable. To start nibbling on the handle would be outside my skillset and would detract from the impressive looks of this piece. Really could say the knife holds a good edge, but some how the spine seems much harder than the edge, IMHO. I really like the damascus look, but for a working blade prefer D2, or one that i made myself.Customer Service was awesome, first knife reminded me of a potato chip. 2nd arrived in less than a week, very impressive!get it for the looks, but dont be afraid to get it out and work it hard!!!!!5 stars, if the problem is small and can be fixed, then its okay by me,
