Bought this for my daughter to teach her some outdoor skills. It’s perfect for small hands but I could see it being hard for larger hands to work with.The good: excellent edge! This thing is sharp and holds an edge quite well. Craftsmanship is excellent and is clearly not a cheap knife you’d buy at some swap-meet extravaganza. The kydex sheath is a great feature and translates to better breathing / no humidity capture.The not so good: the black coating on the blade will definitely cause some hang up on cutting into wood so make sure you don’t baton it straight in without relief cuts. Small, so it wouldn’t be ideal as a primary use outdoor knife for adults. 1095 steel makes for a good edge but can rust easily so keep it oiled. The kydex sheath really should’ve come with a clip to hold it to your belt or pack but unfortunately it didn’t.This would make a nifty little edc knife if the sheath were to be modified and a lanyard may help for those with larger hands.
