NRS Co-Pilot Knife - Compact Folding Pocket Knife with Safety Lock for Outdoor, Camping, Hiking & Everyday Carry (EDC)

Sweet knife, good accessory to my paddle vest. When you're out there in the wild, you never know when you will come accross an escaped convict or angry racoon that will try to illegally board your kyak. This knife will come in very handy to repell boarders. And it opens beers. What more can you ask for?Small is great, but it sticks out of the front of the pfd. The knife does snap out too easily. But this knife is better than none....The attachment to the sheath is hard to do quickly and with one hand. Not sure if Ill be able to grab it in a danger situation.Too expensive! I expected the concept but expected way more quality from NRS. Knife is dull and the case is not very convenient to attach to anything.Happy with product and with RockNRescue for quick delivery.The co-pilot is a much more manageable size than the pilot. I use this product strapped on the left side of my PFD, allowing an easy reach across with my dominant (right) hand in case of the need to cut material in an emergency situation. The knife stays in place securely, and the ease of removal in an emergency situation is flawless with a simple squeeze of the thumb and long finger.Knife snaps into the sheath perfectly. I practiced one handed in the water and its easy to use. The knifes edge is not exposed when secured inside the sheath. So its safe and still lightweight. Hooks into my Stohlquist class V PFD very cleanly and its really secure. The dimensions of the clip assembly on the sheath is made perfectly to fit the groves on attachment points on PFD/life jackets. So this knife slid perfectly into the attachment point on my Stohlquist PFD and it will never fall off. The squeeze tabs on the sides of the sheath are secure. Spring is strong but releases easy when depressed on both sides. With practice the knife could actually spring off of the sheath into your hand when the tabs are quickly depressed evenly. It makes for quick reaction in emergency situations. I may add my own lanyard to it just in case I am using it and I drop it in the rapids. Looks great too.
